This extension / internal alteration project in Lenah Valley was awarded the HIA Tasmania 2014 WINNER for Renovation / Addition Project of The Year & also the HIA Tasmania 2014 WINNER for Renovation / Addition Project up to $250,000.00. I'm very happy with how this project came together. My client wanted to install a new kitchen and open the home up to the views of the garden & midday / afternoon sun. After visiting the home we soon realised the existing layout was totally wrong for the site. By removing some walls, relocating the kitchen & doing a minor extension we were able to give the home a much needed second living area that was bathed in sun & connected the inside & outside living areas as one. The extension features new double glazed windows & french doors, high levels of roof, wall & floor insulation, new polished Tas Oak flooring & a new kitchen with modern country charm. My clients wanted a family, homely feel to spend quality time with their children & grand children in, I believe this has been achieved.
