My client came to me wanting a large modern family home but needed it to fit on a very narrow small block of land in Kingston Green Estate in Kingston Tasmania. There are quite extensive estate specific planning regulations for this development. We had to look at putting a modern spin on the traditional requirements of the planning scheme. We have designed a modern thermally efficient family home that takes as much advantage of the views, sun & surrounds as possible. The rear deck is elevated with lovely views to Mount Wellington but still provides privacy to the occupants. The rear living areas are quiet & take advantage of near all day sun. The split floor area design provides an interesting feature to the home aswell as complying to the height restrictions of the planning scheme.
