This modern bold extension was designed for a house that was originally built on a very low budget some years earlier. The original house enjoyed magical views of the beach thats just across the road but was not designed to take advantage of them. The new layout of the home is based around a massive glazed bow window that is the sitting area. From this sitting area the client can access a mirrored bow timber framed deck. A new master bedroom suite with walk in robe has its own access to the front deck where my clients can sit & enjoy the view & all day sun. Slatted timber awnings provide shade relief from the direct midday sun & keep the sitting area cool. The extension was designed to provide a new "facade" to the original house. By doing this we were able to keep the original structure & alter it slightly to keep construction costs to a minimum. Structural design was by Aldanmark Engineers P/L.
