My clients wanted to convert their modest 1980's styled brick veneer, tiled roofed investment into a modern 2 storey home that they could comfortably retire to & enjoy the beach lifestyle. With some minor changes downstairs we developed a central entry lobby with a free standing 'sculptural' stair. While rising the stairs views of Seven Mile Beach just across the road can be enjoyed. Upstairs is an open plan living / dining / kitchen with sitting area that exits onto a partly covered entertaining deck. The large front sliding doors create a 'balcony' effect with a clear glass balustrade. Also upstairs is a powder room, walk -in pantry & a parents retreat with large wir & ensuite. This extension totally transforms the home from the road and gives an impressive street presence.
