This new 4 bedroom, 2 living area house design is for a fantastic block of land in Acton Park. The site features a nice outlook and all day sun. The house will enjoy an open plan design with modern lines throughout. An energy assessment is currently being done, we're hoping for an 8.5 star rating! The slab will be insulated & have hydronic floor heating, external walls are thicker 140 mm wide studwork for greater rates of insulation, roof insulation is well above current standards and the windows will be double glazed. The external cladding will be a combination of blockwork, cedar vertical weatherboards & vitrabond. The cedar is being used to create an interesting textural contrast against the smooth vitrabond. This design proves again that a modern highly energy efficient house can be constructed using standard building materials and techniques.
