Tassielink P/L is a leading Tasmanian based coach company that required a new bus depot / workshop. This project was jointly designed by myself & Cornelis Wegman Architects P/L. It features a large steel framed workshop thats big enough for 3 busses to be serviced at the same time & for another bus to be cleaned in the external wash bay, a fuelling station (diesel Transtank) with canopy roof & an administration building & associated parking. Water tanks have been installed to collect rainwater from the roof for reuse in the wash bay & for landscaping purposes. Energy rated double glazing was used throughout to minimise glare & excessive heating / cooling costs. Water rated tapware was also used throughout to minimise water usage. Low energy consumption daylight sensing lighting is also another energy saving feature. Vibrant modern colours with relation to the Tassielink corporate colours have been utilised both internally & externally. Consultants were Andrew Sutherland Consulting Engineers P/L & Aldanmark Engineers P/L. |
